We cannot accept any form that contains an electronic signature, unless you are completing an online University Aid Application. Please print out any required form, complete and sign the form, then return it to our office via fax or scan and email. If you are submitting a form via email, attach the form to the email as a PDF. We are unable to accept any forms that are submitted as a picture or image file.
All federal aid applications begin with your FAFSA. Additional application forms will also appear on your To-Do list in CAESAR. If you do not see any financial aid application forms in CAESAR, contact our office.

Verification is the process by which Northwestern University confirms accuracy of the data reported on an individual student's FAFSA. If you've been selected for this process, please review the Federal Verification page for information on what to expect.
The Verification forms you will be required to complete will be listed on your To-Do list in CAESAR, and the forms can be found on our Federal Verification Forms page. Be sure to fill out the correct form for the applicable academic year.
Be sure to review the financial aid award appeal policies before submitting these completed forms to the Chicago Office of Financial Aid.
These forms generally do not need to be completed unless the Chicago Office of Financial Aid specifically requests them either through your To-Do list in CAESAR or via email.
