How to Participate
Participation in the Yellow Ribbon GI Education Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) varies by academic program.
Veterans in Chicago campus programs who are eligible for 100% of the Post-9/11 GI Bill® and are no longer on active duty may click the links below for Yellow Ribbon policies of participating schools in the 2018-19 academic year. VA regulations state that students must exhaust their full Post-9/11 GI Bill benefit for the academic year before any Yellow Ribbon funding will be paid. The VA must provide their match in order for a student to be eligible for Yellow Ribbon funds through Northwestern University. Please note that Active duty personnel are not eligible to participate in the Yellow Ribbon program per VA regulation.
- Feinberg School of Medicine - MD, PA, PT, PO programs
- Pritzker School of Law - All programs (JD, JD-MBA, all LLM, MSL)
- Kellogg School of Management - Evening & Weekend MBA program
- School of Professional Studies - Graduate programs
Any Chicago campus program not listed above does not currently participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students in programs based on the Evanston campus should contact their program directly to determine if they participate in the Yellow Ribbon program or visit the University's central VA webpage for a university-wide listing of participation by program.
